Salesforce - Using the Search Function

Modified on Tue, 25 Jun, 2024 at 1:05 PM

When you search for information within Salesforce, it uses the objects you look at most frequently (such as development or plot) and shows you the results using that criteria. If you are a new user, you won't have any frequently used objects so your search may yield no results.

In order to find the information you need when performing the search, change the dropdown to the left of the search box to what you need (i.e. plot or development) and then perform your search. The dropdown to the left won't appear until you click in to the search box:

Salesforce will learn what objects you use most frequently and display this information for you, so as time goes on you will gradually find that you need to do this less often.
