Salesforce - How to un-delete an Opportunity

Purpose

Occasionally, Opportunities in Salesforce can be deleted from the system by accident. This guide explains the process of how to restore the opportunity deleted in error.


Locating the Recycle Bin

When Opportunities are deleted, they are moved to a Recycle Bin within Salesforce. Open up the side menu where the Recycle Bin resides by clicking on the small arrow in the top left hand side of the screen:




Click on the Recycle Bin at the bottom of the side panel:



Select Opportunity to be Restored

From the list that appears, place a tick next to the Opportunity to be restored and click ‘Undelete’:






The Opportunity to be restored will usually be the one that appears right at the top of the list, however this list can be re-ordered by Name or Deletion Date by clicking on the column headings.
