How to set up and use HP Secure Print (Office Printers)

To register for the secure print service, open HP Secure Print from your Start menu. 




Enter your Story Homes email address and click Verify




An email with a verification code will be sent to the specified email address.


You can click on the link in the email to verify your address or use the code in the email to enter into the app to verify your address via the following




Note - If you click the link you may also be asked to enroll your device into our Mimecast threat protection service. Just enter your email address again and enter the code to enroll




If you us the link in the email, you may be prompted as follows. Click Open




After successfully verifying your email address, you will be prompted to set up a 4 digit PIN number



After you set your PIN and if you have a print card/access fob, you'll need to associate these with your account. To do this, scan the card/fob against the printer until it beeps (it may take up to 15 seconds to recognise the card/fob for the first time) It will then ask you to input your email & the PIN number that you just set



After you enter your email address and PIN, press Register and this will complete the registration process and you can then use the card or fob to login and release your print jobs




Printing


To print, select HP Secure Printer from the list



At a printer, Scan your card/fob on the reader and you will see the below screen. You can use the "Print All" button to release all jobs.



 

To release a particular print or delete the job, click on "Review Documents" and you will get the below screen.

You can select prints by pressing the square next to each job then press the print or delete buttons.

 




Scan to email

Sign in to the printer using your access card or email address and PIN number then click on More Device Functions. Click on the Scan option then click on Scan to Email. 


From here it's the same as normal, fill in the To field, Subject and File name and press send.
