Changing Default PDF Viewer

Modified on Wed, 5 Feb at 12:23 PM

Click on the Windows button and start typing ‘default’ and click "Default apps" as shown:

On the next screen scroll type .pdf and click on the option in the dropdown list. The below example I have Acrobat as my default pdf reader but I want to change this to Foxit

If you click on the square with an arrow it will pop out a new window asking which application to use instead and suggest a few that you have installed. Select the preferred option and then click Set Default

You should now see a change so that your new application is used to open files with this extension

You can always go ahead & revert this change if you do not like it. You can also choose the Edge/Chrome option to open PDFs in the browser if you wish to do so
