Note: You must be in a regional office or connected to the VPN in order for this to work. Please see https://storyhomes.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/42000088096 if you are unsure of how to connect to the VPN
When you are logged on to your laptop, press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard. You will be presented with a screen like below.
Click on ‘Change a password‘

Now you will see a screen as shown below. Make sure that the top field shows ‘storyhomes\yourusername‘,

Complete the ‘Old Password‘, ‘New Password‘ and ‘Confirm Password‘ fields. Then click on the arrow pointing right. The Old Password will be the one you currently us
Note: Your new password must meet the minimum complexity requirements below:
- Must not contain your user account name or parts of your full name that exceed two consecutive characters
- Must not contain the names of any of towns, developments, departments etc... or variations of these with numbers instead of letters i.e. c@rl1sl3
- Be at least 12 characters in length
- Contain characters from three of the following four categories:
- Uppercase characters (A through Z)
- Lowercase characters (a through z)
- Numbers (0 through 9)
- Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)
If your password does not satisfy the above requirements, you'll see something akin to the below

You will have to go back & enter a password that meets our complexity requirements
Once you have changed your password, you may be prompted on a few systems such as Outlook & Teams for your new password, as this password is linked to several Microsoft systems. This will also change your password on Cascade and will also be your new VPN password next time you go to login
