Rejecting/Removing a Meeting in Outlook (as the recipient)

This article is useful for situations where you would like to remove a meeting from your Calendar i.e. if the organiser is no longer working for the company or the organiser is on Annual Leave on that specific day


Firstly find the meeting in your Outlook calendar and click on it. This example is in Outlook New 


You should then be presented with a pop-out looking like the following:

If you just click on Decline this will be removed from your Calendar. The tickbox Email Organiser is to notify the meeting host that you have declined


The concept is the same in Outlook Classic but the buttons will be on the top ribbon instead of having to double click into the meeting:
