Print settings for printing cheques

Modified on Thu, 20 Mar at 9:10 AM

Note - This is currently only tested for the NE but should also work for C&S and NW

Below are the print settings required to print cheques successfully without having any of the text misaligned. The below example is via Microsoft Edge but the same will apply if trying to print via Chrome, Acrobat, Foxit etc...

Open up the Print menu and then select HP Secure Print if it is not already selected. Open up Print using system dialogue at the bottom (you may need to click on More settings for this to appear)

This will then open another menu titled Microsoft Edge - Print. On this menu click More setting and yet another menu will come up called Printing Preferences.

Within here please change the following settings so that they look like the below

> Double Sided = Off

> Paper Size & Orientation = A4 Portrait

> Input Tray = Manual

> Paper Type = Automatic

> Quality - High

Click OK and then this should close the Printing Preferences menu and return to the previous menu

Make sure that you are printing the correct number of pages (I set mine to 1 as I had a document with several different cheques)

If you are happy with the settings click Print

If the text is still misaligned when the cheque prints you may need to either compare print settings with a colleague or contact IT support on 01228 891619 and we will take a look
